The ActiveWave Standard Reader interfaces the
Host computer to the RF side of the ActiveWave
RFID system.The Standard Reader receives all
RFID data transmitted by a tag. It deciphers this
data and sends the information in real-time to the
Host. Depending on the application, the Host can
use this information to control access to restricted
areas, track assets through a facility,
or update inventory counts in a warehouse.

- FieldGenerator :
The ActiveWave Standard Field Generator is a
small, efficient tag wake up device.
The Standard Field Generator transmits wake
up commands to tags at 433 MHz For broadcast
commands, any tag within range of the Standard
Field Generator will respond by transmitting its own
data. For non-broadcast commands, only the
specified tag(s) will respond.

- Handheld Reader :
The ActiveWave Handheld Reader is a small,
lightweight Reader used to find tagged items
quickly and conveniently.
The Handheld Reader fits comfortably in the
palm of your hand. Users carry this portable
Reader while looking for specific items such as
merchandise, inventory, or other assets. For
example, to find a specific crate in an aisle full
of inventory, the user just enters the crate's tag
ID in the Reader, then selects Call.
The Reader will indicate that the tag is found.
Optionally, the tag can either beep or blink an
LED to help locate it. In addition, the RF range
of the Handheld Reader is easily adjustable, so
the size of the search area can be controlled.
The signal strength of the tag's response (RSSI)
is measured and displayed to the user,
thus giving the user an idea of how far away the
tag is located.

The Tag can be used to track and monitor people
and equipmentin an office, warehouse, or any other
type of facility. For example, Tags can be configured
to track cars in a rental lot, monitor bins ina factory,
find specific crates in a warehouse – basically any
application that requires system monitoring of assets.
When compact Tags are used with cardTags ,
all movement of valuable assets without an assigned
owner will immediately generate system alarms and
can securely lock exit doors. |
